Press Releases: INGROUP LICENSING CONTINUES GROWTH

August 05, 2002

New Offices, International Positions Added—Fashion and lifestyle licensing agency, Ingroup Licensing, has promoted Kelly Payfer to the position of Vice President, International Business Development, a promotion from her dual title of senior account executive at Ingroup and director of licensing for Mudd Jeans. In addition, the prestigious firm will take up offices in 1407 Broadway, effective August 5, 2002. Steven J. Seidman, chairman of Ingroup, made the announcement.

The announcements came on the heels of Mudd’s international expansion, most recently, into Asia, announced earlier this week. Payfer will continue to oversee domestic licensees, while acting as a liaison between Mudd USA, Europe and Asia and directing these territories’ expansions.

Ingroup, which has been Mudd’s exclusive agent since the inception of their licensing program five years ago, will support Mudd’s International growth by moving their offices into 1407 Broadway, and sharing space with Worth Pacific Holdings, the sole licensee for Mudd Asia.

According to Seidman, “Ingroup has always been dedicated to growing top fashion brands; we work with brands to help them manage the business opportunities we arrange for them. Our new offices and Kelly’s continuous presence in Asia and Europe will ensure these licensees thrive to parallel our US business.”

Ingroup’s new headquarters will be 1407 Broadway, suite 1920, New York, NY, 10018. The new phone number is 212-279-8889.

Based in Manhattan, Ingroup concentrates on developing fashion brands, with an emphasis on youth brands. Clients include Mudd Jeans (LIMA’s 2002 Fashion License of the Year), for whom Ingroup has signed over 20 national and international licensees, Plugg, whose licensing program has doubled annual revenues, and Zena.
